Antinori Chianti Classico

This cellar was inaugurated in October 2012 in Bargino ; it is an remarkable example of modern architecture. It is also a great symbol of the links that tie the Antinori family with the Chianti Classico area. It was built exclusively with materials from the region and is perfectly integrated in the scenery. This impressive building that is now the group headquarters houses meeting rooms for 140 people, a restaurant, a spiraling staircase in its centre, not to forget huge cellars underneath, in a contemporary style, and large windows overlooking on the magnificent Chianti Classico landscape.

The vines planted around the building are obviously planted with sangiovese – the region’s most important grape – but also with canaiolo, ciliegiolo, colorino, malvasia nera and mammolo. A small part of the vineyard is dedicated to international grapes like cabernet sauvignon and cabernet franc.

This cellar embodies the Antinori’s philosophy : looking to the future but deeply rooted in tradition.
