Georges Duboeuf

Georges DUBOEUF, the "pope" of Beaujolais.

It is with the dynamism which characterizes him that Georges Duboeuf creates, in September 1964, Les Vins Georges Dubœuf which marks the beginning of his trading activity. He revolutionized the practices of the time by applying the traditional methods of his ancestors: respect for the origin and the work of the winemaker, selection and rigorous monitoring of the evolution of wines during bottling and above all, search for the high quality, conditions and almost clinical hygiene of the bottling - a challenge he takes pleasure in taking up every year.

Traveling the world to publicize the wines of the winemakers he selects, he becomes, in fact, the ambassador of the region. Georges Duboeuf weaves a beehive whose nectar is now enjoyed by amateurs around the world. He remains faithful to his quest: to offer quality wines, mixing the typicity of their terroir and assertive personality. Defender of the know-how of the producers with whom he maintains close relations, he exercises his trade of merchant with heart, passion and this permanent will to share the best of Beaujolais.

"Today we work hand in hand with 300 winegrowers, whom we all know personally. "(G. Duboeuf)
