Pian delle Vigne
The Pian delle Vigne wines are the most intimate expression of Brunello di Montalcino and Rosso di Montalcino, with the Antinori touch.
The Antinori family bought the estate in 1995. This was the year of the first vintage of the Brunello Pian delle Vigne released on the market.
The wine is aged in large wooden vats, which helps the sangiovese to keep its finesse. The wines here are very elegant but also rich and complex.
Located some 6km from Montalcino, Pian delle Vigne has a total of 184 hectares, of which 65 hectares under vines, with a South-Western orientation, at an altitude of 130 metres.
