Sogrape

Sogrape Vinhos was born from the will and courage of a group of friends. In the difficult economic and political context of 1942 in Portugal, they decided to rely on the visionary talents of one man. This man had the idea of creating and developing an innovative wine company whose difference would promote Portuguese wines on a global scale.

Today, Sogrape Vinhos is run by the third generation of the founding families and seems to be even more committed to achieving the original goal of offering quality Portuguese wine brands to the world in sufficient volumes to meet the needs of different market segments.

Since the early days of the company, when barrels of wine were purchased from small producers in the Douro to be processed and bottled in a cellar in Vila Real, Sogrape Vinhos has experienced impressive growth. Through continuous investment, the company has expanded and developed its assets and workforce to the point where Sogrape Vinhos now owns 830 ha of vineyards in all the major wine regions of Portugal.
