Nonino

As one of the most innovative grappa producers, Nonino received the prestigious Leonardo Prize from the Italian Government for "excellence in quality, research and innovation” in 2013.

Nonino was the first company to introduce a 'single variety' grappa: in 1973 a grappa was created from one grape variety. Meanwhile, the Nonino distillery is unique in the world: it has no less than 66 boilers for production. In order to guarantee the uniqueness and the best quality of the different distillates, Nonino produces only during the wine harvest, 24 hours a day. In order to produce all of this, Nonino works together with the Friuli’s best winemakers.
